got 88 points from Koli's International Working Test. The placement
was 8rd from 30 competitors.

| 28.-30.10.2008 Hunting trip with
setter boys |
We had a nice hunting trip in Eastern Finland with our setter boys
Leo and Jason. There are not so many birds nowadays in Finnish forests
so our boys had to run a lot! But we did get some nice situations;
we found black grouses and wood grouses, but we did not shoot them.
We are hoping that next year these birds have litters to grow. Our
trip last three days and we spend our nights in lean-tos. |

We had a nice hunting trip in Rääkkylä
with setter boys Leo and Jason.

Maximus got 1st prize in Winner Class, he got 71 points after working
full time in Paalasmaa.
Maximus on osoittautunut nuoresta
iästä huolimatta erittäin riistaviettiseksi. Ilman
ultrapointin pantaa koiraa on turha laskea edes pihalle. Maximukselle
ei ole ammuttu yhtään hirveä, joten kaikki halu haukkua
hirveä tulee vieteistä. |

Varya was bred to Jason on August 2008. She was
ultra scanned last weekend and there are going to be several puppies
:) Puppies are expected to be born on October 2008. Blue belton
and orange belton puppies expected, maybe tricolors also.
Both parents have got great success at dog shows and they are
both used for hunting. For more information about the puppies,

Jason 16 months

We attended to international dog show with Jason
(Set'r Ridge's Sensation at Cenhamn).
The judge was Darren Bowey, who has bred english setters over
30 years so it was really interesting to get his opinion about Jason!
And it went really well, Jason was youngest male in this show but
still he was Reserve Best Male with Res-CAC and RES-CACIB.

Juno, Ares and Gaia |
Novi's and Zeus's litter is already 8 weeks old. Ares and Gaia
moved their new homes and we took Juno to live with us.

We x-rayed Leo's (Yavanna's Kariya
Cenhamn) hips and elbows last month and today we got his official
health results from the Finnish Kennelclub:
hips excellent (A/A) and elbows clear !

Dog Show in Sweden |
We attended to World Winner Dog Show with Jason
(Set'r Ridge's Sensation at Cenhamn). We travelled with
Nina & Coco (Silver Fog
Vals).
The day was very interesting! There were 71 english setters
entried and the judge was Laurent Pichard from Switcherland.
Jason got excellent from quality and placed 4th in his class
with magnificent judgement.
We also visited in labrador kennel Designerline
in Sweden - million thanks to Susanna and David for lovely weekend!!

Baltic's Surfn' Malibu.
It was lovely to play with puppies, thanks to the breeder Teija

son Ch Silver Fog Versal won BEST IN SHOW
at the Dog Show in Russia. Congratulations to the breeder and
the owner!!
There are 2 BIS Winner and 4 GROUP Winner in Ruudo's children
at the moment! Looking forward to the future..

CAC Show |
We went to Joutseno Dog Show with Jason
(Set'r Ridge's Sensation at Cenhamn). The judge was Jelena
Kruus from Estonia. Jason got res-CAC and was 3rd best
male.
"Nice type. 1 year old junior male, good
bones, nice head, good ears, dark eyes, typical topline, nice
neck, good angulations front and rear, well developed for his
age, nice coat, very good temperament, nice mover & shower."

We spent a day in our cottage in Selkie. The weather was excellent
and dogs had a really great time running on a lake.

Year 2008! |
Last year was sad because we lost our precious
Ruudo. We still miss him a lot.
But there were good things too in year 2007: we got two new
family members; Jason and
Leo.
Hunting season was good. Novi
was in good condition and had several good hunting trips.
This year we are planning to breed Novi.
Our goal is to get excellent hunting dogs. If you are interested
