| 16.12.2009 Juno got
Open Class 1st prize from elkhound exam |
Juno took
part to elkhound exam in 1.-14.12.2009. Juno made her working in
Juuka at 6th of December 2009. Judges were Johanna Pajarinen and
Mika Juntunen. Chief judge was Pertti Harinen.
This was Juno's first exam and it went really
well; she got 1st prize from Open Class with points 66,5. From now
on she can compete in Winners Class.

We attended to Finnish
Winner Show and Nordic Winner Show with our elkhounds Jada
and Juno. Judge in Finnish Winner show was Jari Fors from Finland
and Nordic Winner judge was Per Iversen from Norway. There was
about 30 swedish elkhounds entered for both days.
Juno (18 months) made her debyt
in intermediate class and got both days excellent in quality.
At Nordic Winner Show she was prized 4th Best Bitch with Res-CAC!
Jada (9 months) made her debyt in
shows and both days got Very Good in quality. She still needs
time to mature :)

We had visitors from Czechs;
English Setter female
SK CH &
JCH Camellia Brilanti Davaroni with her owners.
Camellia is famous champion female, who is used actively for hunting.
She is one of the most winning english setters in her country;
both in hunting exams and also for shows.
Camellia was bred to our Leo (Yavanna's Kariya Cenhamn) and we
are hoping puppies in February 2010.

got 1st prize in Open Class in elk exam |

Peppi attended to elk exam at 24.11.2009
and got 1st prize from Open Class with points 74.
Peppi's autumn went really well, there were shot 9 elks to her
working. Congratulations to the owner Petri Hiltunen!

| 26.10.2009 Our autumn
went by hunting |
| We began our fall's hunting in 20.8. First
ones were elkhound Maximus and our canadian import, plotthound Brite.
Our goal was finnish brown bear; this year we did not get it, but
we got nice works to bear from both of our dogs. Maximus passed
also bear hunting exam during this fall. |
Our setters Leo and Jason
began their season in September and we got nice experiences to both
of them, also some grouses were shoot to their work.
Our young elkhounds Juno and Jada started their fall wondering what
to do :) Jada have seen elks one time and barked them for 5 minutes.
That's a start for 7 months old girl!

Juno started her working a week ago by following elks about 1
km, where the elk got shooted. Yesterday Juno showed what she
is made of by finding elks from 1,9km away and followed them 4
km and also barked them about one hour. One of elks got shooted
to Juno's work.

Breed Dog shows in Joensuu |

This weekend there were two all breed dog shows in Joensuu.
On Saturday Leo
(Yavanna's Kariya Cenhamn) made his debyt in shows this year
being
Reserve Best Male with CAC! The judge was Göran Bodegård
from Sweden.
On Sunday Jason
(Set'r Ridge's Sensation at Cenhamn) was third best male
with RES-CAC and RES-CACIB. The judge was Ove Germundsson
from Sweden.
Our setter male's offspring had also a great success; Jason's
son Jearim was Best Puppy of Breed on both days and Ruudo's (Marron's
Aragorn at Cenhamn) daughter Warmahill's Funny-Funny Et was Best
of Breed on both days with group placement and group winner. Congratulations!

We took part to Mikkeli International dog show with Jason
(Set'r Ridge's Sensation at Cenhamn). The judge was Ricky
Loch-Romans from Neatherlands. Jason was Reserve Best Male
with RES-CAC and RES-CACIB.

We took part to a dog show in Laukaa with Jason
(Set'r Ridge's Sensation at Cenhamn).
The judge was Inga Siil from Estonia. It went really well, Jason
went Best of Breed with a CAC!
Critique:
Glamorous male, full of style. Excellent
head & expression. Very well set ears. Beautiful neck &
topline. Very good tailset. Could be more angulated in front.
Well angulated in rear. Excellent ribcage and body. Very good
coat & colour. Moves extremely well.
Top quality dog!

Juno (Pakkalan Juno) and her sister
Gaia were x-rayed and got their official results from the Finnish
Kennelclub: both have hips excellent (A) and elbows
normal (0).

We had a pleasant vacation to the USA and Canada; we had lovely
time also in Niagara Falls and Rocky Mountains with amazing views.
We visited in several English Setter kennels; Marron's,

At the end of our vacation we visited legendary plott hound
breeder Steve Mohr's Ursus
kennels, and from there we got two lovely ladies to our
home trip; Ursus Fudge and Ursus Brite. Welcome to Finland Fudge
& Brite!

with Jason |

We were at the all breed dog show with Jason (Set'r Ridge's Sensation
at Cenhamn). The judge was August De Wilde from Belgium. Jason
won the open class with excellent and was 3rd Best Male.

Kuopio |

We had visitors from Kuopio-Finland; Jason's fiancee
'Ruudo's-daughter' Nella (PrerianWithita) with puppies Iiro, Iita
and Jassu.
Evening went really fast by watching puppies play, thank you Jaana
and Saul for visiting us!

| 9.5.2009 We went to visit Kennel

I visited in Itikkakorven kennel, where was playing 11 puppies
sired by Jason and out of Vilma. Puppies were at the age of 7
weeks. It was a joy to watch puppies play, all of them were so
energetic and lively young setters.
We took photos of each of the puppies and I put them to litter's

Here is our new family member: Jada
Jada is 7 weeks old lively swedish elkhould girl. We purchased
it from Jukka & Tuija Kilpinen, Finland. Jada's official name
is Tuike Korven Jada. Her dad is FIN JCH Raikukorven Napoleon
and dam FIN JCH FIN UCH Rörmursskogens Brita.

our place in January and for result she gave birth 11 puppies
on 21th of March 2009:
7 boys and 4 girls!!

We spent a lovely weekend in Ikaalinen, Finland. Finnish
Elhound Society held National Specialty there. The judge for
Swedish Elkhounds was Anna Fors Ward from Sweden. |

Our Juno was shown
in Junior Class for the first time. She just turned 9 months old
so she was the jungest in the competition. But it went really
well..
There were 48 swedish elkhounds present and the judge gave 15
of them the quality "excellent", and our Juno was one
of them! She also placed third in her class.

Pakkalan Gaia made her debut to show rings in Tuusniemi
Group Show. Judge was Pekka Teini from Finland.

There were 91 swedish elkhound in this show, puppies were five.
The judge was Hannu Talvi from Finland. Juno did very well and

There were 33 Swedish Elkhound attended and 3 of them were puppies.

| 4.1.2009 Good new
year 2009! |
The year changed.. Last year was heartbreaking
for us; we lost our Roona in Spring 2008 and Novi in Fall 2008.
Last year we got new family member to us: swedish elkhound girl
Juno. In this year we are planning to start our showing and hunting
with her. We are also following how her sister Gaia and brother
Ares are doing. These littermate's big brother Maximus got his Working
Champion title last year; that is a great goal to these little elkhounds
too ;)
Last year Jason became a dad to two litters; one in Russia and one
in Finland. This year Jason is about to come a dad one more time.
After that we continue to follow how these little setters are developing.
We want to congratulate all of puppies owners; we are very proud
of Jason's puppies!!

Well, you never know how things goes.. So time
will tell if our plans will come true. Anyhow, we will inform
everything in these website. We are also hoping to get a new
member to our family during this year ...if everything goes
well..We will let you know :)
