Juno and Jada took part to Rääkkylä championship hunting exam at 22th of September 2011. Juno got 1st prize from Winners Class with points 77,5. Jada got experience and got 2nd prize from Winners Class.

Juno took part to hunting exam on 8th of September 2011 at Koli. Juno made her works on Larinsaari, judges were Jarkko Kukkonen and Anssi Lukkarinen. Chief judge was Petri Laakso and Juno competed with Kimmo Pakkanen.

Juno got 1st prize from Winners Class with points 85. Juno placed 4th out of 26 dogs. Juno was prized also from best obedience in this exam.

At Saturday morning we found eating marks on a field and we put Fudge to find out. Fudge followed the bear about 6 km, and we put Burn to help her. Burn found the bear lying and chased the bear few kilometres. The bear stopped and Burn was barking on it, and we added Brite and Fudge to barking. The bear continued running and finally she got killed. The bear did not stayed to the shooting place, she was found about 100 metres from the shooting place, elkhoundn Asu found it from the shooting place. Great day for dogs; nice founding and hard working made this everything true! This bear was 149 kg female.

And greeting from Sweden; our plotthound pups sire Ursus Pagan has shown nice workings on bears and there has been killed already four bears to his workings.

Bear's footprints was found on Saturday morning. We traced the bear and dogs found it quite soon. The bear run about 15 km ahead dogs until he made a mistake and came between Joonas and Kimmo. They shooted the bear, bear run about 200 m after that until got killed. There were three plotts on bear working; Brite, Fudge an Burn. At the end there were Brite and Burn. Brite was first who came to shooting place and on injured bear. The bear was 162 kg male.

Leo's (Yavanna's Kariya Cenhamn) and Seri's (Nicoret's Sensational Yavanna) puppies are now in their new homes. We wish lovely future to each puppy and their families!

We went to Pieksämäki all breed dog show, the judge was Leonie Darling from Australia. Jason (Set'r Ridge's Sensation at Cenhamn) won the Open Class males, was Reserve Best male with CAC. Mrs Darling is a breed specialist so we appreciate the critique!

Judge's critique:
"Excellent type, good head. Very good earset & length of neck. Good angulations. Good proportions of feet. Excellent bone & substance. In very good coat."

Almost two years of break we went to dog show with Jason. Jason won the Open Class males, was Reserve Best Male and got CAC. The judge was Paavo Mattila from Finland.

Judge's critique:
"Extremely beautiful male. Beautiful & good head. Excellent neck. Stylish topline and extremely good body and legs. Excellent coat. Good movements. Nice personality."

We went to visit kennel Itikkakorven to meet Leo's and Metsis's puppies, they are now 6 weeks of age and soon ready to go to their new homes. Puppies were really promising, they are blue beltons in colour and they were named by butterfly theme :)

One very promising female puppy available to good show/hunting home!

We updated puppy photos to their own site. Each puppy is doing well, they are growing a lot and are already playing a lot. Puppies have already get to know to our family's other dogs and each of them have spent a luxury time with our family all by themselfes. Each puppy has reserved already.

And once again one year is behind us..

Let's remember what happened last year:

Elkhounds Jada and Juno and setter Leo competed in show rings during year 2010. Juno got CAC, CACIB and BOB win, Jada got CACIB and also Junior Winner title from Estonia. Leo got CAC and BOS win. Jason did not competed in show rings last year but let his children to compete and they succeed really well!

Last year only Leo got children; he got 6 children in Czechs, kennel Davaroni. These pups started to show their hunting skills already at the end of the year; Leo's daugher won even one hunting trial with top points! We will continue to follow how these puppies get success in this year. Jason's children got nice wins at show rings and now first of his pups will start to compete in adult classes already. Ruudo's children continued to get magnificant wins at show rings: f ex daughter Warmahill's Funny-Funny Et was again top winning pointing dog in Finland and son Silver Fog Vernisazh got group placements and group win from Canada. We want to congratulate all of Ruudo's, Jason's and Leo's children and their owners for great wins and hope best to you this year!

The fall is the hunting season and we were really busy with that.. and also with our new born baby Leevi who was born at the beginning of hunting season! Our hunting season started with a bear hunting. Our plott girl Brite made several workings for bears during season, in Finland and also in Sweden. Also our elkhound Juno proved to be a bear hunting dog. There were lot of bears during fall, so we managed to hear lot of bear barkings.

After bear hunting season started bird hunting season and our setter boys Jason & Leo had a lot of bird situations during fall.



Both Juno and Jada proved to be good elk hunting dogs during fall. We got couple of elks shooted for Juno and Juno also made a debut in hunting trials in Winners Class. Jada in other hand made a debut in Open Class and got 1st Prize. Next fall she will make a debut to Winners Class.

Our year begin with puppy breath! Our plott girl Brite is very pregnant and we expect to get puppies in middle of January. Also we hope to get english setter puppies on March, sired by Leo.
